We had a lovely stay above a bustling pub, which made for a relaxed family gathering. The buffet breakfast had plenty of choices, perfect for our kiddo, and the location was super convenient, just a quick walk to the underground and local shops.
My kids wished there were lifts available for easier access to our room. It's quite a climb up and down the stairs with all our bags and little ones in tow.

The stay was quite pleasant for one night while we explored nearby attractions. The room was of fairly good size, with comfortable single beds and a small ensuite. Access to the train station was easy, which was a major plus for our family. The evening dining experience in the pub downstairs added to our enjoyment, as the food was quite tasty.

Oh mate, hit up Limeyard for some fab Chinese grub and try Chantal Cafe Restaurant for a cheeky brunch, proper bites! Plus, staff were nice and the breakfast spread was decent too.
But crikey, opening the hot water in the shower was a right mission, had to use pliers! And don't expect the hot water to rush in. it's more of a slow stroll.

Solid spot for a quick stay, offering clean rooms with fresh towels daily. The seamless connection to public transport makes getting around a breeze, close enough to downtown yet tucked away from the main hustle.
The steep, narrow stairs are quite the workout, definitely not ideal for anyone feeling unsteady. Room temperature dipped at night, with insufficient heating. Breakfast options lacked variety with no hot items, and the limited WiFi connectivity left much to be desired. some noise disturbances from the pub below could disrupt sleep, particularly in rooms positioned over the bar.

The room was tidy and comfortable. I appreciated the clean linens and ample hot water in the shower. Staff interactions were great. everyone was friendly and helpful when I needed local information or recommendations. I liked that breakfast included a variety of options but it started a bit late for my schedule. I found the noise from the bar below could get disruptive, especially if you are trying to rest. The windows didn’t block out noise well and made it hard to control the temperature, too. Wi-Fi connection was a challenge. it was slow and unreliable during my stay. There was also a lack of clear parking information, which added some stress. Despite these hiccups, the location was convenient, just a short walk to the tube station and nearby amenities.

The rooms sport a unique charm, tucked above a lively pub atmosphere. Fresh towels daily and a tidy en suite shower offer practicality amid the cozy pub vibe.
Three flights of stairs can be a trek, especially with luggage, and some rooms hint at maintenance needs, like mismatched furnishings and a broken roller blind. The continental breakfast lacks variety, with limited fruit options, and you might grapple with noise from the street or the bar lingering late into the night. Wi-Fi connectivity is spotty at best, which can be frustrating if you need reliable access to the net. Parking can be a gamble, with permits that aren't guaranteed to be available. these quirks might not ruin your stay, but they do leave things feeling a tad rough around the edges.
